Overview of the Congregation of Elohim

We are a congregation of people from different backgrounds who are committed and united to worship the Elohim (The Power Over All) in spirit and in truth as written in the Holy Scriptures. We have learned so much and know there is so much more wonderful things to learn.  We focus on living and growing in real faith, sincere love before Elohim and our fellowman.  We prayerfully strive to teach only what we have proven to be the true Faith of the Prophets, Apostles, as established by Messiah Yehoshua.

We do not assign titles such as elders, deacons, or pastors to ourselves.  For us, only the Master Yehoshua or a person proven to be His true minister by virtuous life and miracles through the Holy Spirit can ordain ministerial roles or titles.  So, we wait on the Master to send us a true minister or to ordain any among us as elders, pastors, etc.; as He wills not our will. Whether He sends us a leader or chooses one or more of us, the leader(s) will have the demonstrated Divine and virtuous fruits and gifts of the Holy Spirit.  As the beloved Apostle Paul admonishes "And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of Elohim" (1Corinthians 2:4-5). Like so many others, we used to naively believe those who claim to be elders or pastors. Now, thanks to Elohim, we trust only Him and those who prove to be His true ministers by the demonstration of a consistent virtuous lifestyle and divine power from the Holy Spirit of Elohim. We plead with you to do the same.

Although we are not yet divinely ordained, Elohim has enabled us to truly know that He Is and is a Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. He is the First Reality and Power Over All, Who alone exists without beginning and can never end.  It is He alone Who was never given a name but always and rightly has the Name YHVH, Who Was, Is, and Will Be; The Eternal.  He is infinitely great and is the True Philanthropic!

Elohim has enabled us to sincerely repent of our sins and to search and judge ourselves daily to keep sin out in His Name.  He has enabled us to sincerely love, strive to understand, and believe the Gospel (Good News) of the Kingdom of Elohim through prayer and study.  The many confusing and erroneous information being presented by false or ignorant ministers are destroying or hindering the faith of many.  Yet, we thank Elohim that our faith is not based or dependent on any human teaching, but on the veritable virtuous miracles He did and continues to do for us; Hallelu Yah.

We have complied with the New Covenant ordinance of mikvah (baptism) by water immersion for the forgiveness and washing away of past sins in Master Yehoshua's Name. We are waiting in obedience and prayer for the filling and or testimony of His Holy Spirit by evidence of virtuous power of His Divine gifts. We long for the Divine Presence to sup and dine with us.  We have this hope not only because the Scriptures testify to this, but also because we have personally experienced Elohim's Divine healing and or miracles; see the "I Am Believing Because of Answered Prayers and Lessons Learned" paper. 

Our purpose is to glorify Elohim and live for Him. We are driven by His Holy Spirit to understand, live by, preserve, and spread His faithful Word and Good News of the Kingdom. We are committed to being a body of disciples with whom anyone, who is devoted or wants to be devoted to Elohim according to the Scriptures, can worship and grow in the knowledge and unity of His Son.  We rejoice at the thought of people who, no matter their color or nationality, are truly united in the love and righteousness of Elohim. We are praying and working to help make that happen in New York and wherever Messiah Yehoshua enables.

We believe in Elohim, the First Reality, and Eternal Power Over All, by the gracious revelation of Himself through the manifold evidence in His creation.  He has graced us to believe in the sacrificial work of His Uniquely Born Son, The Son of Man, Sovereign Yehoshua The Messiah (whom some call Jesus Christ) and the power of His Holy Spirit as taught by the Apostles, Prophets, and Sovereign Yehoshua Who is the sure foundation.

We believe in loving Elohim above all else with all of our being which is evidenced by obedience of His commandments through faith. This includes observing Elohim’s Sabbaths, annual feasts using the Enoch luminary calendar, dietary laws, and loving our neighbor as exemplified by Sovereign Yehoshua The Messiah.

We believe the sacrificial work of Sovereign Yehoshua The Messiah redeems and saves whoever wills, for faith, obedience and reconciliation unto Elohim for everlasting life and that He, not mankind, will completely remove all evil from the World.  Although the average person can know Elohim exists by sincere observation of nature in heaven and earth, absolutely no one can know His Son by observation or study.  Only Elohim can let us know His Uniquely Born Son Yehoshua.  Elohim will make His Well Beloved Son known only to those who repent and earnestly desire to know His Salvation.  Once a person has been graced to really know Yehoshua, then Yehoshua will enable that person to know Elohim as Ha Av (The Father).  Don't lose your opportunity to really know and be with the Father and the Son by false doctrines.  As it is written, "No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him (John 6:44). Yehoshua also declared "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me".

We believe that the Divinely inspired texts of the Bible are part of a larger set of Divinely inspired texts used by Elohim's faithful people up until the time of Messiah and His Apostles (possibly later).  This collection of Divinely inspired texts comprised of pre-advent and post-advent texts which are called the Scriptures. Pre-advent texts included the texts found in the Old Testament along with several others such as the books of Enoch, Jubilees, and others. The post-advent texts included the New Testament texts along with many others from the Master's Apostles and elders such as "The Didache" (teaching), and "The Recognition of Clement".  We, as many other believers, have found these  pre-advent and post-advent books to be consistent with Biblical doctrine and that they bring clarity to Biblical doctrine.  The Bible is best understood when read and studied with all the Divinely inspired Scriptures. They all match, compliment and or supplement the Bible without contradiction.

Before accepting any text as Divinely inspired, we carefully and prayerfully study each text to prove whether it agrees or contradicts the Law, the Prophets and, New Testament texts. We also, check to know whether the text was written within the lifetime of the 12 Apostles or prior.  If the text meets this criteria, we accept it as Divinely inspired, learn and teach from it as such.  If it contradicts we reject it.  We have learned to commit are hearts and minds to Elohim and not to be entangled by any human opinion, religious apprehension or practice.  We believe in and practice proving all things to the best of our ability as the Eternal permits.  So, we rigorously strive to live and teach with a clear conscious by His Mercies.

The Sovereign Yehoshua said “I will build my congregation and the gates of hell will not prevail against it” (Matthew 16:18).  Our hearts and minds rejoice in knowing that Elohim welcomes all people who love truth and righteousness.
